Cultural competence is a recognized standard in baccalaureate nursing education, but nursing programs are challenged by a predetermined course sequence and mandated requirements. Interaction with and immersion in a Spanish-speaking country have been found to increase knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to cultural competence.

Clark, a panelist, reported. on the use of the Incivility in Nursing Education (INE) survey, which includes both quantifiable and open-ended items (24). Students perceived that incivility in nursing education exists. They shared a common view with findings in the literature regarding incivility from the faculty perspective. Notably, an emerging student view was that faculty may contribute to the escalating incivility in nursing education, and that student incivility is justified when faculty are seen as uncivil. 2020-11-25 · The fundamental focus of nursing education programme is to produce nursing professionals that are clinically competent and can contribute immensely to the provision of quality and safe nurse care [2, 3]. Quality nursing education can be attained if nursing faculty obtain a balanced experienced in both theory and clinical areas.
